115 vinrude will not shut off

'85 evirude will not shut

'85 evirude will not shut off with key switch sounds like it keeps running on 2 cyls
replaced key switch still have problem
is the blk/yl wire suposed to kill both coils??

"Ray.... The single black/yellow wire from the key switch runs back to the large instrument wiring harness RED main electrical connector where it joins in with the related engine wiring harness RED electrical connector. At that point, the single black/yellow becomes dual black/yellow wires, one of each leading to each powerpack.

Should one of those black/yellow wires have a break in it, or one of the powerpack kill circuits fail, when the key is turned to the off position, the kill circuit will apply to only one pack. This can easily be checked with a ohm meter.
