HELP!!!! Accidently ran thru

HELP!!!! Accidently ran thru some sand while trolling up in Erie Pa. and now after replacing the impellers the motor won't run at anything higher than putt-putt and intake and exhaust shut down. All compression tests show good compression at 125 on all. Local people have no expereice or know how on "force"! I'm stuck between a rock ans a hard place.

"Check the spark too. Maybe you lost fire on one hole.The second thing I would do is take the cylinder head off. It's easy to do and you need to look at the cylinders. Forces(Chryslers) are VERY finicky about their bores being in good shape. A head gasket is so easy on those motors.Also, the gasket is cheap.Part number for the gasket starts at F476529-1.Get it thru any Merc dealer."
