where is the fuel pump locate

where is the fuel pump located on the 1983 mercury outboard 50 hp motor..or does it even have one?

Ruby....Sparky is right but you will find that the fue lines go straight to the carbs. This is because your carbs run integral fuel pumps and these are located on the starboard side of the carbs.

" Okay..I think we have found them..We rebuilt the carb and the pump, which then wasn't for sure what it was, but it still is not holding pressure in the ball to the fuel tank..This is our first boat and we do not know a whole lot about marine engines..It sounds better and idles better than last year when we bought it..But we have to squeeze the ball to keep it running..I really do appreciate any and all help you can give me!! "
 
need to know the flushing pro

need to know the flushing procedure for putting new oil in the leg in 1983 mercury outboard. do you put it in the bottom hole or top. do you have to lie it down or keep it upright.
