Removing Engine

I have a BB 70 (AQ 80)

I have a BB 70 (AQ 80) that is locked up and I want to remove it and rebuild it. I have already removed the outdrive. Can I just unbolt the engine from the bell housing and slide it out or do I have to unbolt the the transom shiel and slid ethe entire bell housing and engne out. Thanks

"Unscrew the clamp-ring at the back. If ring is stuck, use the screws and put them into the 'empty' holes behind the tab-washers, tighten, and the ring comes out.
