" The motor has a volage regulator,I had it replaced. The tach works fine until the votage gauge on dash reaches 14 1/2 volts and then the Tach dies. If you hit the trim switch or blow horn the voltage drops and the tach will jump up. Is it normal for the voltage to go up to 14 1/2 volts? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
