" i have a thompson 1980 22 ft boat with a 4cyl 470 mercruiser. the guy that had it before me put an after market heat exchanger on and the end cap is cracked and i cant find the part anywhere, any help? "

" are you sure its not the origionalmercuiser heat exchager ,if not go to www.manifoldwarehouse.com they make after market exchangers. why dont you weld the cracked end cap from memory it is made of bronze "

thanks crayman i will seek that web site but welding it im afraid it wont last and i use my boat on lake michigan sometimes 10 or 11 miles out in 110 ft of water and dont want to depend on a weld. lol. its not really the end cap i dont know what its called it goes on the end of the exchanger.
