" I have a volvo penta sx cobra and when moving at low idle the boat wants to wonder and feels very loose at wot. The skeg has a very small piece missing on the end, would that cause this? Also I have noticed that I do not have that anode fin above my impeller because I have power steering. What can help with this problem? "

" deep v io's tend to wander at displacement speeds. loose steering at wot, assuming syeering system is tight is probably a trim issue. to bow down and the stern starts to want to be the bow. called bow steering. to bow high and every little wind change and current change moves the bow. every throttle setting has an optimum trim setting.try small changes and wait for boat to react befor trying more. trim tab on outdrive is to reduce torque steer and not needed with power steering. minor damage to skeg is generally not an issue. "
