"I rediscovered my old outboard from childhood. It has not run in years. The tank still contained fuel. I removed and cleaned carburetor, fuel line. However, the fuel filter will not screw out due to the varnish in tank and is definitely stopped up. Any ideas how to remove? Worse case, I thought about driving a screw driver down it to break off and use and external fuel filter."
