"MaryKate makes a product called Aluminex. CRC aquired MaryKate and now markets it themselves. I spent 20 years as a repair center for Starcraft and used this product exclusively for cleaning the inside of aluminum hulls prior to a repair.
It works very well but you need good ventilation and skin protection.
