Oil injection

"I know this is really a stup

"I know this is really a stupid question but, I don't know. I have bought a 2000 50hp johnson. The nipple on the engine for the oil injection along with the fuel nipples, does this just go into an oil reservoir or a special pumping system?"

It goes to the VRO pu

It goes to the VRO pump (at least it should) which mixes the oil and gas and pumps the mix to the carbs.

Thank you for the response. Do you just dip the end of the tube into a reservoir and it sucks the oil up? Or does it need to be pumped up to the engine?

The pump will draw the oil , but it is a good idea to obtain an oil tank and an oil hose with a primer bulb, same as the fuel hose.
