"Can a VRO fuel pump be replaced with a regular fuel pump? I have had the oil tank removed, and the VRO oil line plugged, on the last engine rebuild per the rebuilder. I have had several VRO pumps go out since at $300.00 a pop. This is on a 1989 XP 175 Looking for a better way to get up and running again. Sorry if this is a second post. I had trouble on the first one.
