Where do I find the serial number

"G'day, I have an 80hp 4cy

"G'day, I have an 80hp 4cyl blueband motor and I dont know where to find the serial number on it. I ultimately want to find out what year and model it is as I'll need to order parts. If it helps; it does not have a distributor but it has 4 coil packs that the spark plug leads run to...I beleive it may be an 82/83 mod. Any help would be appreciated."
 
The only numbers I can find on

The only numbers I can find on the transom bracket are 1440 3255 (which is on the rear right hand side) and 66084 which is on both sides and I think is a part number). I have looked up some references to the engine numbers and cant find the first number in any of them. In fact the ones I have seen have all been 7 digit numbers....any sugestions? - I will also add this as a new listing.
