"Engine starts and idles ok and runs fine at low speed, but will not generate enough hp to get the 18.5 ft boat up on plane. I have rebuilt the carbs, installed new plugs, and a new fuel filter. Engine acts like it is fuel starved and wont' rev up. Can the pickup in the tank be partially plugged? How to test? Any other remedies?
Normally this engine would push my boat at 47 mph."
