"bought this 20 ft wellcraft without a water run test owner said the motor had wrong prop a 23 m but he only fished a few 100 yds from boat house..and have not had the boat in the lake since june 2006 the gas was untreated about 40 gals was his story, well took to the lake yesterday start fine using the same gas he had in it idle fine really motor sounded great but i have no acceleration power to speak of wot 3600 rpm 28 mph. could this be the prop or something going with the motor 1994 150 saltwater yamaha.i may add did change plugs, lower unit oil and checked compression (all cylinders close to 120 with no leakdown) before we took it to the lake. any ideas on the motor or prop size. was adviced that it needed somewhere around a 16, or 17 pitch prop....thanks"
