"I assume the sticker is gone from the valve cover, right? They also put it on the plastic cover for the flame arrestor.

Go to a good auto parts store and ask them- they usually have a marine parts book. You can also call any Mercruiser dealer and ask- they may want the engine serial number, so have that with you when you call."

Mercruiser tune-up specs. call for AC CR44N and gap at 0.035" if your serial # is 2771483 and below.

If your serial # is 2771484 and above, use AC MR43T and gap at 0.035". You will find the gap set at by the factory at approx. 0.045" for tody's engines. Reset it to 0.035" per Merc. specs.

I bought the MR43T's and t

I bought the MR43T's and they don't work. The threads are too short and the shaft is tapered. I think I need the type of plug with a flat surface and washer. Should I try the CR44N's or do I need something else since the head is off of a car engine?
