I would like to put a water pressure and temp gauge on my 1982 115 HP evinrude it is a cross flow. I believe thats what you call it. Does this motor have a place to do this and if so where would I install the sending unit ?

"The simpliest way to attach the pressure sender is just to make a T-connector at the indicator hose. The 'restriction' is in the nipple in the lower cover, so the reading should be reasonable accurate. As for temp sensors, there are kits available with 'surface sensors' that bolts on the outside of the cyl heads and reads off the surface temp. (No sensor in the water jackets).
However You would need two, one of each head to get an accurate and correct reading, and You may be a bit confused. At full speed , considdering everything is normal with water pressure and thermostats, the temp will drop compared to at idle! At idle You may read some 60+Centigrade, att full speed it may drop to below 50C."
