" As a boater I would like to take a hands on diesel engine two or three day training course so that I can better understand the workings of a diesel engine, handle emergency repairs and be better at mainitaing the engine in my boat. If someone knows of such a course, please advise.

There is a marine engine dealer by the name of E&C Marine in Toronto, Canada that runs courses specific to many different models of marine diesel engines over the course of the winter months. I'm not sure of your geographic location, nor can I remember their phone # but they are located on Parliament St. in downtown Toronto on the waterfront.A call to information would yield the # if this was of any use.Good Luck!
