I have the factory manual on

I have the factory manual on my Evinrude outboard and it talks about setting idle timing etc. using an OMC Ignition Analyzer test kit P/N 434017 by connecting it into the timing sensor plug. Is this unit still around for setting up ignition timing if so where can I get one. I can find nothing about the unit via search engines. Is it needed or is there another way of setting the timing using a Fluke Meter.

I can provide any of this if you or someone else can detirmine if they sell what you need...

This is a tester that is avaliable at your OMC dealer. It comes with operating instructions. You have the correct part #

That tester p/n 434017 costs $283.08! Maybe you should take your engine to a REAL dealer that has one and knows how to use it,give him a few $$
and let set/check your motor's timing.
