Does any one have information

Does any one have information as to the construction (number/size of tubes)of the typical inboard closed coolant system heat exchanger(V8 gas engines)? Are they all typically single pass? Does any one have any used old/discarded exchangers that could be opened up?

" Dan, I can speak only from my experiences with a Chrysler 440, 300 HP. It was a single pass exchanger, approx 16 inches long, about 6 inches in diameter and had removable end caps for cleaning. It had about 15 to 20 tubes, approx 3/8 inch diameter (I.D.). Dont have one to open up, but will keep you in mind if I find a junker. Kim "
