" I have a PCM 454, which I believe is a 1995. I have no manual or specs and was wondering on a starting point for setting the timing. I have been told 8 or 12 degrees. Also, the timing marks are not marked - there is a plate with a V (cutout) and a small hole punched next to it, then 4 small V (cutouts) going towards advance from the big V and 2 small V (cutouts) going towards retard. What would be the increment of each V...2 deg?

Also, how can I identify the manufacturer of ignition and carb.

Many thanks!
