Evinrude engine won't run when warmed up

I have a 1980 Evinrude 150hp that won't start once its warmed up, starts when cold great , run it for 1/2hr and shut it off and it won't start, it fires but won't run. Any suggestions would be appreciated

You need to test.----Guessing / assumptions do not help in fixing this fine motor.----Start with a load test on the battery,.----Then take starter apart for inspection.-----Post the compression values.
