Bf15D broken carb part

Hi all
my 15hp 4st has broken the plastic arm that pushes on the accelerator pump. It’s about the only part you can’t buy individually. I think a 20hp would also have the part I need. Does anyone have a busted carb around for sale or a workaround, cheers.

Well, you're right, no replacement available. And, you're also correct that the 20D as well as the 9.9D and the 8D carbs equipped with accel pumps all have that same lever. So, if you could find any one of those carbs for cheap you could cannibalize it.

I will say though that the accelerator pump on those carbs is fairly useless and you probably won't notice it not working if you can't replace or epoxy patch the arm.

I've run those carbs with the accelerator pump piston and spring removed and noticed little to no difference in performance. You DO want to leave the bellows and pin in place though to keep water and dirt out of the carb if you choose to run it that way.
