Magstroker 383 performance issue after overheat

new engine, overheated. long story. runs like crap now. compressions are good.

idles very low, stalls when cold. idles when warm

cant go past 2000 rpm under load, in neutral can rev higher to about 3500 rpm

parts replaced so far
IAC
IAC foam muffler
TMAP sensor
TPS
PCV
Ignition coil pack

cap/rotor look good inside
wires are tight

performed smoke test into butterfly while running, no leaking seen.

Tried different external fuel tank new gas

oil level good. no bubbles or milk seen

Check to see if the exhaust flappers melted & are blocking the exhaust.
If there’s a vacuum fitting below the level of the throttle plate hook up a vacuum gauge & check for a restricted exhaust.

Flappers is a good one. Might want to do a leakdown test as well. I've seen engines that had good compression have a ton of blow by. One had 170-175 psi on all cylinders, nail the gas and the dipstick would get pushed out ...
 
Flappers were non existent. just the metal rods remained.
i just replaced them and made sure exhaust clear of debris.

Same problems still exist
