Just purchased my first aluminum boat, and it came with a Minn Kota Vortec 55 3x. I have found that it seems to only have 1 speed. I am going to pull it apart to see if it runs full speed with out going through the control board as suggested in other threads. My question to someone who may know, is there an alternate control board that may be used in this trolling motor seeing as thought the part is no longer available?
