I have replaced the water diverters. Cleaned the passages around the heads.
Installed a new water pump and impellor.
The thermostats we're replaced last year.

The motor will run for hours at rpms under 4200. At WOT after 4 or 5 minutes the horn goes off.

Do you have a water pressure gauge installed? If not, it could be useful to see if you're maintaining good water pressure at higher speeds. I'm wondering if maybe your engine is installed too high on the transom or if your hull is somehow creating turbulence which would cause air bubbles to enter the water intake. The water pressure gauge will help you to see if you're getting a drop at higher RPM which would limit water delivery to the powerhead.

Depends which HP/Model engine you have. Many of them have a threaded fitting on the head where you can put a adapter for 1/8" tubing that runs to the pressure gauge.
