Wanted to change the impellor on a 2004 Yamaha 9.9. removed the 4 bolts and the nut for the shifter but the foot does not drop and only moves slightly. Sprayed lots of WD 40 in all the holes and used a sledge with wood to try and get it to release. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the foot would be greatly appreciated. Lots of corrosion on this motor due to not being cared for by the previous owners.
