1956 Johnson 30HP Gear Box - Can't remove bushing.

The bushing and washer are stuck (see picture). I assume it should come off (according to parts diagram) any suggestions on removing it?

Does bushing move easily from where it is shown ???---The bulges around the drive pin hole need to be filed off.----Then bushing will fall off the shaft.----If bushing does not move from where it is the shaft and bushing may be scored.

It doesn't move at all. I hit it with WD40 and tried using a 3/4 " plastic pipe and hitting it lightly with a rubber mallet on the washer and still no movement.
 
Get a bigger hammer. You'll probably have to do as you did, but with more force. It is supposed to slide off with ease.
