Yamaha F300XCA 2013 top crank oil seal

I have a F300XCA that the top crank oil seal blew out on this past weekend. I had read a thread about a seal retainer that might be available as an aftermarket product to stop this problem from happening in the future. Is there anyone that can help me find such or is there any other alternatives to prevent this in the future. Or do I just replace this seal and run it.

In what country are you located?

Yamaha USA introduced a modification that added their retainer. Why not use that one?

Part numbers are where they always are. In the parts catalog.

You will also need six new flywheel bolts.

What is your dealer telling you? Seems he would have already provided you with the needed information. You will need the bulletin for the installation procedure.

My dealer is clueless and new nothing about the seal retainer I read about it on another forum. On the other forum there were no pictures or part numbers so I just wasn’t sure what to look for.

Why do you suggest new flywheel bolts. (Not questioning you just curious)

I appreciate your help so far

Back when Yamaha US was covering the cost of the new retainer, all of the parts were provided in a "kit". Kits are no longer available.
