Question about tiller handles on factory non tiller 1994 40hp engine

Good afternoon everyone, I have found myself to be I. A bit of a predicament with finding out what serial number tiller assemblies will work with a J40EERE model engine. The motor came with controls but are seized up and a tiller handle would work better for the application id like to use the engine for. So far I have found a OMC Johnson Evinrude 40 50 Tiller Handle Assembly 0434101 434101 0395240 That seems to work up to 1993. I was wondering if the one year difference would effect it working on my motor

That handle is not complete.----Shift handle and rod may be needed.-------Big $$$ for some small parts.-----A donor motor is the way to go.
