Hi, need some help!

I have a 4hp 2-stroke Mercury outboard (my auxiliary motor) , about 7 yrs old but has only a couple of hours on it. I give it a run for 10 mins every few months but other than that it never gets used. Was running fine 6 months ago.

Now after winter it starts but struggles to idle, feels/sounds as though it is choking and will not throttle up.

Have changed out with fresh fuel, cleaned fuel filter and lines, thoroughly cleaned carb. Has good spark and compression. Choke and throttle actions are working fine. Fuel pump diaphragm looks fine. It should run nice!

And ideas what to look for next? Thanks :)

Motor should be stored with carburetor empty.----Empty carburetors stay clean.------I suggest you clean the carburetor.
