75hp ELPTO 2 stroke run with just air in oil injection outlet hose

Replaced oil injection hoses (preventative maintenance). Bled oil pump inlet hose by loosening screw. Then as per manual ran outboard at idle for a few minutes with just air in outlet oil hose to try and bleed. Got nervous as didn’t see much oil flow. I shut down motor and disconnected oil outlet hose and used syringe to fill hose. Re started and all seemed ok. So my question is how long can one operate outboard at idle speed without oil coming into fuel? Am I likely to have done any damage?

Some will argue.------There would have been lots of oil on the internal parts.----You can run for a few minutes at idle.----Too late now but you could have squirted oil into the carburetors------But you should run with 50:1 on a tank until you confirm pump is injecting oil.-----And 2 strokes and oil is not well understood.
