What is the difference between a 115 4 stroke and 130 4 stroke

Hi- I have a 115 hp 1.8 litre 4 stroke Yamaha, and was looking at a 130HP engine, but it looks like they are exactly the same!
What has Yamaha done to make the extra power in the 130Hp version?

ECU difference.

Same as with the VF200/VF/225 models and the F225/F250/F300XCA models. Others as well.

You must not be in the USA. Yamaha USA does not offer an F130 HP model.

Thanks- thought it was ecu, but also wondered if they do the same as they do with their waverunners and restrict air inlet as well.
 
Carbureted or mechanical throttle body models may use a restriction in the air inlet systems. Electronic throttle body models don't need to do this. The ECU controls the opening of the electronic throttle body.
