1978 15hp - will I get an exhaust leak if back corner bolt is stripped?

Thinking I’m probably ok…opinions?
I only discovered this after putting everything back together so not really keen on pulling head again unless I have to…

Uses 6 bolts.-----2 bolts are longer than the other 4.

Exactly. The front (short) bolts are both in, so are the middle (long ones). It’s one of the two shorties at the back. I guess I’ll go with Boobie’s suggestion, just run it and see.

News for you.-----The 2 long ones are for the back.-----A short one there would only engage about 3 threads.-----And I own more than a " bakers dozen " of these motors.----I know the long ones go in the back !!

Try fitting the long bolts in the back.-----Might still engage enuff threads.

Woops, maybe it only stripped because I had three threads on there. Oh boy. Will check it out. Thanks!!!

I was indeed putting short bolts where long ones should go. All good now! Thanks fellas.
