I just picked up a Sears Clinton (I believe that is what it is) outboard and a motor stand for $20. It needs some work but appears (at least from the outside) to be in good shape. The first issue is I cannot pull the recoil. The person I bought it from said he bought it from someone who had it on a sailboat who told him it runs but apparently he never got around to running it. He said when he originally bought it he could pull the recoil easily and seemed surprised when he couldn't pull it when I came to pick the motor up. He said it has been sitting outside for a while. Does this sound like a recoil issue or something worse? Assuming I get past that issue how do I hook up a fuel line to this motor? Does anyone have any sort of repair manual for this motor and know where I can get parts if I need them? Is this even worth messing around with?
