Cooling water pressure sender and gauge?

Typical Volvo set up, though 1668 Holman-Moody parts. This one looks relatively stock.

Would like to set up a pressure sender and a gauge, preferably electric (not actual water to dash).

Don't care about actual value displayed as much as using it to determine wear on impeller or any other fluctuations in pressure.

This was a fantastic way for me to time impeller changes on a mercury outboard i had for years. Looking to duplicate that logic on this boat.

ANY ideas welcome.

I avoided much trouble by taking my raw water intake through the hull using a wedge scoop with external filter screen. A side benefit was easy fresh water flushing and winterizing.
