I have a 1985 johnson 15 hp model number j15ecob. My NSS came apart in two pieces so I replaced with the same type of switch. The problem is the shifting mechanism does not push the button far enough to activate the NSS and it will not crank. When I push it down with a screw driver it does. Am I missing something because it seems easy to install?
