corrosion block repair

i was given a 2007 150TXR from a lady whose husband passed away. the boat sat on the trailer for 13 months and he would run it on the phones about every 2 weeks or so. when i got it home started it without the cap and noticed this hole on the top the block dripping water. is there anything i can do to repair this hole. i really don't have the money to purchase another motor at this time. the hole is smaller than a pencils eraser.
 
You are sure it was not put there for a water pressure gauge ?------Post a close up picture of the hole perhaps.-----What does the rest of the motor look like.
