I recently got a DT 25 that has 2 recoil starters. I have never seen this on any other outboard anywhere. It has the normal on top the flywheel starter and then there is another that is a heavy duty spindle starter on the lower right side looking forward like the kind that is seen on smaller older Johnson/Evinrude outboards. The lower starter is much easier to pull and must have a higher gear ratio. Anyone familiar with this set-up?
