I recently purchased a boat an trailer with a 5hp Gale built motor, model GG8977A.
The seller informed me that the motor just quit.
I'm green as a pine tree an in Dior need of someone to help me troubleshoot the issue. And if it's not to much to ask. What is the fuel mixture.

Supposed to be 40:1 on these. I think it's a motor made mostly with Johnson Evinrude parts. Gale is a good motor. I run my 5 hp Montgomery Wards Gale at 64:1 on Amsoil Saber pre mix 2 stroke and non oxy fuel. Also in my Hiawatha....also a Gale.
