I am trying to figure out which tie rod kit I need to install a rotary steering system. The kits actually specify Port or Starboard but no one seems to know the details beyond that. For my boat the steering cable will come in from the starboard side, but then it goes through the tilt tube so it technically connects on the port side. Does anyone know how Mercury identifies the kits? Do I need a Starboard Kit for "starboard side steering" or a Port Kit for "port side connection"?
