Hi, I am looking for any help in identifying or at least a starting point to fix my engine. I have an 1981 Evinrude 50hp outboard. I recently bought the carb kits and rebuilt them. Now it seems to idle better but I am getting a decent amount of backfiring. I went in and adjusted the floats to see if that was the problem in case I was running too lean but it did not seem to help much. Any idea where the main cause of backfire would come from?
