I have a 2000 Johnson ocean series 150 hp motor that I rebuilt the 6 carburetor on. I can smell a hint o gas coming from the engine so I checked for leaks and found none. I pulled off the air silencer and noticed gas was coming out of the 6 carburetors into the air silencer.
1. Is this normal as the engine runs well?
2. If so is the gas recirculating through the hose on the bottom of the air silencer?
3. If abnormal what is the cause and correction?
