Hi, I am new to forum and outboards. Glad I found this site.
I bought a 20hp tohatsu last year (2020 model) with power trim, electric start, tiller-driven. I am beginning to assemble items to convert to RC. I have a RC box with an 8 pin female and a sep. pink and lt. blue bullet connector (assuming Tilt/Trim?) but the inside of the cowling does not reveal an 8 Pin male connector. There is a 6 PIn connector and a bunch of other discreet wires that are bundled under a wire tie on the port side of motor (Port of boat looking forward). Is there an adapter that connects these wires or am I looking in the wrong place? Also, since the service manual is 78 bucks, can someone tell me if the service manual covers this or do I need to buy the rigging manual?
Appreciate any help. Not a wealth of info online about how to convert this size/year motor from tiller to RC. Parts are a bitch to find at moment as well.
