My serial number has only 6 digits (and 1 letter). I cannot identify.

My I.D. serial plate and 'welch' type of plug only show 1 Letter and 6 Numbers (see pix). Mercs usually have 7 digits. I think it's a 9.8HP but which 'serial range' should I use?
