Trim Cyl Piston (help)

Got a buddy with a bravo1. Trim cylinder has been leaking. After pulling the ram apart he found a broken/cracked piston. Been told you can’t buy just the piston and need to buy a whole new ram. Is there any truth to this? I’m finding it hard to believe!

Been a while since I had to do one....back then, it was cheaper to just get a new on from SEI...

first item is an overhaul kit which i belive has the piston.

if you look up parts on this site by your serial number will guarantee fit click on parts tab upper left of this page=> select mercruiser sterndrive=> enter serial number for drive or engine
