I started my 2014 Mercury 25 HP 4 stroke motor for the first time this year after sitting for the winter. I noticed the tell-tale stream was not very strong and found water coming out of the side of the engine through an open port about 1/4" wide. It is located on the engine block just below the fuel filter. (I have video of the water coming out of port but wouldn't upload). I ended up fining a small aluminum plug that came from the port in the motor cowling.(See Photo below) I wanted to know if this is just pressed in and if it was just a freeze plug? Can I just press it back in or does it need any type of sealant when reinstalling the plug?
