Engine pops and no power under load

I recently put my boat back in the water after a long winter
All maintenance and winterization is up to date. Fuel was stabilized etc etc.

She starts perfect.
She idles perfect
No load - runs and revs perfect
UNDER LOAD she has no power and the engine makes popping noises. Every so often it feels like it wants to go then pops again and no power.
Cannot get any speed going at all

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

without identifying the engine in question, all you get is a best guess...

no power and popping suggest a lean condition...check fuel pressure for a start...
