Hello, I have a 2006 suzuki df2.5 . This is the model where the water from the pilot hole spits and doesn't have a steady stream.

On a windy rainy day I was running it and the impellor blew up and it stopped pumping water, but I didn't notice it until the engine started over heating. Since fixing the impellor, it doesn't like to idle without the choke open. When its warmed up and I close the choke it dies immediately. The motor starts good and runs fine once I get it into gear and give it some throttle.

I have replaced the carburetor, but that hasn't helped. I'm wondering if there's anything else I should check myself before I bring it into a shop. I'm hoping there's no damage to the head.

Thanks very much
