I have a 1987 75ELPTO 7075727 that I purchased
that is not running. The stator has failed the resistance tests covered in the repair manual. Searches show the OEM part as a Mariner 398-8778A10. I have found a CDI replacement 174-8778K1 that claims to be the proper replacement.
My concern is that my stator has 2 yellow wires, a blue, a red, and a black ground. The pics of the rellacement shows 6 wires. Are these just generic pictures and the actual part is the same as mine? Or am I looking at the wrong parts? Thanks for any help.
