Is there any mandatory certification of electric outboard motors?

Hi, everyone,
We are going to purchase an electric outboard motor, probably from Torqeedo or ePropulsion or Minn Kota.
We are new to this product. Is there any certification mandatory to sell in the US? Thus we need to ask them.

'Mandatory' by who?

I'd doubt that you will find any standard to certify to...best guess is maybe an ASTM (or similar) standard for measuring output torque...
